I know I've not been on here for a very long time now but I thought i would pop in to say a formal goodbye as I retired from face painting last Saturday. I have loved every minute of it and if I could carry on I would but other commitments make it impossible. Now have 8 grandchildren who want my time and who need looking after at various times plus my two holiday lets have really taken off and so I am very very busy with them and of course i am now doing more and more glass painting and have commission backlog so something had to go. I just can't keep up the energy required now at 64.
However, all is not lost. My daughter Gaynor who has been on here some time ago is picking up the baton although not until she settles in MELBOURNE as she is emigrating shortly. Plus my 12 yr old granddaughter has been doing it along with me at family events and is going to branch out now and do some school events. I am passing my kit onto her. I will of course still do the odd family event but no more. It's ironic that I have had so many enquiries since Jan and also my repeat customers have asked me back so there should be work locally for my painting colleagues.
I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to eveyone who made me so welcome in 2007 when I started out. You have all taught me so much and have been a truly welcoming followship. Long may you all prosper.
My website is offline now and my facebook page is defunct but hey, I can still be found on my glasspainting facebook page
https://www.facebook.com/barbersdrove or my holiday cottage website and facebook pages
https://www.facebook.com/barberslaneand
http://www.fen-acreholidaylet.com/
Hopefully I will see some of you online but hey you could always think about holidaying in The fens
