Hi there,
I'm new here and have joined in the hope that someone can help me.
I've been recruited to paint/tattoo at an Olympic Torch event and I've settled on some ideas I'd like to have as stencils but I can't find anyone that supplies similar. I wondered if anybody on here can give me any ideas of who I can approach to have them made up?
I also didn't know if anyone makes their own stencils that might make some for me?
Here's hoping!

If it's anything to do with the Olympic rings you can forget it. I'm working for a bank that's one of the partners and my contact there has told me not to paint the rings as they're being very strict about the usage of the symbol. There's nothing to stop me using the colours, but he's gone for the safe option of red/white/blue.

Many of us manufacturers/suppliers spent much time trying to get a license to cut olympic stencils, only to be refused permission to do so after many months of fruitless negotiation. |

Liz do you think that would apply to everthing ?, at school for our year 6 leavers concert in the cathedral, we have made the logo out of hulu hoops as the main backdrop to the performance. They look fantastic. |

| Blimey, so have to ask a stoopid question I take it painting the mascot and symbol is a no no ? Could you paint to rings in just gold in the pattern? Could you even paint the word olympic 2012 on faces? |

| I think you need to steer away from the word Olympics, the rings and the mascot. I think you are okay with using "London 2012" or generic symbols like a torch, runner, medals, etc. Try using flags maybe? Good luck. |
