A friend of mine bought a Barbour wax jacket last weekend... this afternoon (at a school fair I was helping out at) her 5 year old daughter wiped her freshly painted face on the sleeve of said jacket rolleyes

Can anyone suggest the best way of getting the paint out?? Most of the paints used were Snazaroo but I think the white used was DFX.

She would appreciate any advice.

Many Thanks.

Debbie. x

Oh, by the way, it wasn't me who painted her little girl icon_biggrin

Well you wouldn't want to use soap. I'll bet that water and time will do it.

Surely if its a fairly new Barbour the paint should wash off quite easily as being new it should still be quite 'waxy'. Then all she needs to do is to rub some of the 'wax' they give you when you buy a Barbour onto the part she has washed. wink
ps I've had my Barbour jacket for 25 years and it's still going strong after having all sorts of stuff on it, and it was given a fresh 'waxing' just last week!

Yes, but make sure it's gone before waxing, or she may seal it in. Barbours are made to shrug everything off, a bit of paint shouldn't really be a challenge.

Best wax jacket I've ever had is a Barbour. Like Bibi said made to withstand almost anything.

Hi all,

Just a follow up... my friend rinsed with water yesterday (as per Bibi's advice), the gold paint lingered but is already wearing off to be almost unnoticeable so thanks again to you all, for your advice.
