I've been asked quite a bit lately about semi permanent tattoos. Don't know anythng about them. All I know is Temptu do a product that lasts 4-5 days and one that lasts longer probably about 10 days, but nothing that long.
I wouldn't even know what they used for semi permanent tatts either. |

| Hee hee, I don't know of anything that lasts longer than henna ... surely anything else must be permanent as it would have to go deeper into the skin? |

| I've read a bit about semi permanent tattoos where I gather they use the needles, but don't inject the ink as deep as usual... could be garbage! Some peeps say it's a myth. One report I read said hers lasted around 3 years and that she can't see it any more. |

What would be the point? I can fully understand temp ones that last maybe a week BUT can be washed off using certain solvents. But why on earth have a temp one that lasts months and therefore can't be washed off?
One would suppose that it finally fades as the skin is sloughed off due to natural processes and is therefore no where near as deep as a regular tattoo? |

It would appear semi permenant tatts are indeed a rather cruel myth.
I chatted to a client after a job one day and she shared how distressed she still was with a tattoo she had which had been sold to her as semi permenant lasting approx 3 years.. 8 yrs on the poor quality tattoo which is now totally inappropriate for her life is still there and she was trying to save for laser removal. After the event I spoke to a number of tattooists who said how angry they get about people doing this and that there is no temporary ink or way of injecting ink less deeply that makes a tattoo 'semi permenant'.
I suspect any temporary product could only stain the skin externally and due to the skin renewal process I am not sure that much more than a few weeks would be possible. |
